AIR POLLUTION: GOVERNMENT SHOULD GET ON WITH PUBLISHING TRANSPORT WHITE PAPER

Matthew Taylor MP, Liberal Democrat Environment and Transport spokesman, commenting on the latest Government ‘initiative’ on air pollution, said:

“Rather than more celebrity assisted pleading and preaching, the Government should get on with publishing their Transport White Paper and tackling the problem.

“The Treasury has taken lots of money from motorists under the guise of ‘green taxation’. But until they bite the bullet and make public transport more available, affordable and reliable the problems will persist.”
